As a marine biologist from the beautiful Bahamas, I have a knack for finding hidden gems, and Spes Bona Guesthouse was no exception! From the moment we arrived, the incredibly warm hosts treated us like family, making us feel right at home. Our room was a delightful surprise-spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with air conditioning that felt heavenly after our road trip. I especially loved the comfortable bed; I honestly haven't slept that well in years! The location is perfect for beach lovers like us, with easy access to the highway for day trips and exploration. But it was the lovely garden and shared lounge area where we spent many evenings unwinding and basking in the local ambiance. If you're traveling with furry friends, the spacious surrounding garden is a plus! The only thing that would have made it even better would be a pet-friendly enclosed area, as our dogs aren't the biggest fans of wandering in open spaces. I can't recommend Spes Bona enough for anyone seeking a cozy retreat after a busy day exploring Colesberg!
